Once born in the healing waters of King’s Pond, the Old Man was a king raised with love and privilege. He carries deep sorrow from losing his wife and ultimately chooses to sacrifice himself to aid Torm’s journey. Gentle, philosophical, and full of heart, he helps bridge the past and future with hope
Wise, warm, and humble, the Professor serves as a mentor and father figure to Torm after her parents' death. Though not as intellectually gifted as her, he fully supports her work and believes she’ll cure Shadow Fever. His knowledge and emotional steadiness guide Torm through her darkest moments

The Jewel-Skinned Man is a tragic, glowing figure hidden deep within an abandoned cave, cursed with skin that naturally produces valuable jewels and crystals, leading to a lifetime of brutal exploitation by breeders and scrapers who treated him as a mere commodity. Scarred physically and emotionally from years of torture—including having stones pulled from his body, blood drained for crystal production, and failed breeding attempts—he lives in isolation without a name, family, or friends, speaking only in the eastern language of Inotra. Paranoid and mistrustful, he refuses to aid the protagonist Torm when she becomes trapped nearby, fearing she will reveal his location and invite further abuse, though his lingering presence hints at a flicker of conflicted compassion.

There are two versions of the film: Japanese and English. Feel free to audition in either language—or both—if you’d like. You are also welcome to audition for as many different characters as you wish, and you may submit multiple takes.
