MS | Bex walks into frame from left, stops, sees guitar. Eyes light up with surprise and delight. |

CU | Bex’s hand reaches out, touches the guitar’s neck. |

CU (insert) | Guitar leaning against tombstone – brass gears and valves glint in moonlight. |

OTS (over Bex’s shoulder) | Bex lifts guitar, cradles it. He speaks softly to the tombstones. **BEX:** “Why is your grandson so good at making things, but so bad at friendship?” |

MS | Bex gets an idea. He smiles mischievously, walks to nearby portable radio. |

CU (insert) | Guitar cable plugs into radio jack with a satisfying *click*. |

ECU | Bex’s hand turns radio volume knob all the way up. **BEX:** “God, I hope he’s sleeping.” |

WS (night sky) | Avio’s air balloon drifting through cloudy night sky. Avio sits on the edge, legs dangling, eating. |

CU | Avio savoring food, smiling. |

ECU | Radio suddenly BLASTS shrieking guitar riff at full volume. |

MS (fast whip pan) | Avio jumps, drops food over the side. Food falls away into clouds. |

CU | Avio quickly turns radio off. **AVIO:** “Man! That was good too! I was really enjoying that.” |

MS | Avio turns radio back on, adjusts dial, calls out. Feedback squeal. |

CU | Avio on radio. **AVIO:** “I see you found your gift. How are my grandparents?” |

MS (back at graveyard) | Bex unplugs guitar from radio. |

CU | Bex smiles at radio. **BEX:** “Still dead.” |

OTS (Bex on radio) | **AVIO (radio):** “Just because someone is dead doesn’t mean they don’t need someone to take care of them.” |

CU | Bex looks at overgrown tombstones. **BEX:** “Their bricks are getting a little overgrown but I’ll take care of it.” |

CU (Avio in balloon) | Avio smiles warmly. **AVIO:** “How do you like the guitar?” |

CU | Bex beams, almost speechless. **BEX:** “I don’t know what to say… it’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. Thank you.” |

MS (Avio) | Avio laughs. **AVIO:** “I’m just glad I’m far enough away I don’t have to hear you practice everyday.” |

CU (Bex) | **AVIO (radio, continuing):** “Speaking of that, be careful not to overload the radio.” |

2-SHOT (Bex at graves) | Bex turns serious. **BEX:** “It’s not too late: you can still turn around. The Falls will always be there, but I won’t…” |

CU (Avio listening) | **AVIO:** “One day you will understand. A dream will find you and you will know what it’s like to have the noise of the world stop because your dream is the loudest thing in your world…” |

MS | Bex suddenly hears noise in the field. His attention shifts. He slowly turns radio volume down. |

CU (radio speaker) | Avio’s voice continues faintly as volume drops. **AVIO:** “Bex? Are you there?” |

WS | Lilix in the field nearby, shovel in hand, bag of gear, studying a picture of a root. |

MS | Bex walks toward Lilix through tall grass. |

CU | Lilix looks up from picture, startled. **LILIX:** “Ahhh! You startled me.” |

2-SHOT | Bex raises hands apologetically. **BEX:** “You look lost.” **LILIX:** “It’s a root I’m trying to find…” |

OTS (Bex over Lilix’s shoulder) | Bex leans in to see the picture. **BEX:** “Grave lilies.” |

CU (insert) | Bex’s hand digs up a grave lily root with small shovel. |

CU | Lilix takes the root excitedly. **LILIX:** “Yes, that’s it! Why are they called ‘grave lilies’?” |

MS (tracking) | Bex leads Lilix a few steps to the lily-covered tombstones. |

WS (low angle) | The two stand before Avio’s grandparents’ graves, now revealed. |

CU | Bex gestures at the flowers. **BEX:** “That’s why. They seem to thrive around graves. I think it’s a mineral in the stones they like.” |

2-SHOT | **LILIX:** “Who’s graves are those?” **BEX:** “Just some really stupid dead people.” |

MS | Lilix senses sincerity behind sarcasm. Bex starts digging more roots. **LILIX:** “I don’t want to disturb their graves.” |

CU (Bex digging) | **BEX:** “Don’t worry, I was already planning on cleaning them off. What do you need the flowers for, anyway?” |

CU | **LILIX:** “They are for a patient… I’m a nurse back in Dreamer Village.” |

CU (Bex looking up curiously) | Bex asks about Dreamers. Conversation flows. **BEX:** “I hear Dreamers can leave their bodies while dreaming. Is that true?” |

2-SHOT (shovel pushes) | Bex lists Avio’s “symptoms” with every sharp shovel push. **BEX:** “Absent-mindedness… always wants to talk about the same thing…” **BEX:** “Owww!!” |

CU | Bex hurts his hand. Lilix rushes over. **LILIX:** “Be careful… Are you okay?” She examines his hand. |

CU (radio insert – accidental) | Lilix’s bag knocks over radio; transmitter mic activates. Avio’s balloon reaction intercut: he drops food again, hears everything. **LILIX (voice):** “Is it broken? … I’m more worried about your feelings for your friend…” **BEX (voice, emotional):** “I’ve been lying to my best friend… they all died from Shadow Fever…” (Avio’s face changes as he realizes the truth) **AVIO (final whisper):** “This isn’t important.” He crumples maps, turns balloon home. **BEX (last line as he runs):** “Avio… Come get me!” Bex sprints out of frame leaving Lilix behind. Fade out. |
